January 2026 Retrospective

Preamble

Hi again! That's the first month of 2026 down, again a very busy one for me

Followed my yearly tradition of rereading "The Hitchhiker's guide" trillogy... but only managed to finish the first book and start the second one, due to the workload of uni

NEW! Around New Year's I started up Pokemon Blue because I've been meaning to get into Pokemon for forever now but never got around to it. I was having fun with it, but had to focus on uni instead of progressing the game
NEW! Started playing Cookie Clicker. Played really intensively for a week or two, got to a certain (pretty advanced) point in the game and then kinda dropped it because it got a bit boring and I was busy with uni
NEW! Took up a bit of Animal Crossing: Wild World but quickly dropped it because I was having trouble with some of the game's systems and the gameplay didn't really grab me
On new year's I played (or replayed) a bit of Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari to get the year started. Lovely games, I definitely recommend them
Got slightly back into Animal Crossing: New Leaf, played every day for a few days, and dropped off due to having to study for uni (are you sensing a pattern here?)
Still playing Genshin Impact, Sky: Children of the Light, and My Singing Monsters

NEW! Started working on my new year's resolution and took up crocheting a sweater. Not entirely sure if I enjoy the pattern yet, might frog it and use a pattern that's better suited to what my goals are
I've thrifted a hoodie and a zip-up for painting and embroidery respectively and can't wait to have the time to get to them

Going back to studying for my remaining two exams! In fact, this post was written in a study break, and I really gotta get back into it now
