Hi, I'm Zarah! I prefer not to give out too much personal identifying info about myself, but here's a few things about me:

I love astrophysics (could you tell? lol) and I'm currently working on getting my degree in it! More broadly, I love science and I'm always interested in learning new things! I'm really into biology, archeology, geology, meteorology, tech, computers, programming, cooking, baking, fashion, sociology, history, and many more. I have a fascination with the world of yesteryear, so to speak, and with the past in general.

I'm an artist as well! I draw, write, crochet, sew, embroider, knit, paint, edit, do various paper arts, and more! I love engaging with different kinds of art and I enjoy getting involved. I really like pixel art (again, could you tell?) and I dabble on occasion. I love custom/customized clothes, I've painted or embroidered some pieces in my collection in order to personalize them and I've got a bunch of projects planned in the future!

As for hobbies outside of creating art, I enjoy reading, playing videogames, listening to music, and very rarely watching movies.

When it comes to reading, I'm what people back in the day used to call a "voracious reader". I'm willing to read more or less anything, but I have a soft spot for sci-fi, fantasy, crime fiction, "weird fiction", horror, absurdist and comedic fiction, mysteries, and occasionally children's lit. Overall my reading taste seems to skew towards "books older than I am", but I'm always looking for something new to read (when I'm not terribly busy!) and love getting recommendations.

I'm about as much a gamer as I am a reader, maybe a little less so, but I really enjoy simulation games, story-driven games, and "collect-a-thon" style games. I also play a few pet browser games, mainly Pixel Cat's End, Leporidae, and PureFelinity.

I love music, but I'm not the type to be listening to something 24/7. I don't have a really specific taste when it comes to music, but I'd say my top genres are rock, pop, rap, alt, jazz. I'll listen to anything honestly, except maybe gospel and praise music. I'm always looking for new music to listen to and I love to support small artists. Very rarely I also get into musicals, but that's neither here nor there.

Movies, TV, or anime I barely watch. I haven't seen many "classic" movies or tv series, and I prefer to keep rewatching the ones I already know and love when my schedule allows it, which is rarely.

    Here are a few of my favorites to give you a little overview of my taste:

  • Favorite movie: Electric Dreams (1984)
  • Favorite videogame: Disco Elysium and the Portal series
